With over a decade of experience in the non-profit sector, Hira Shah has worked alongside organizations of all sizes, from grassroots groups to established institutions, to advance equity, environmental awareness, and community engagement. These experiences have given her a deep understanding of the systemic challenges nonprofits face, as well as the creativity and commitment that drive their impact.

Hira is an advocate, scientist, and educator. Her work is grounded in both evidence-based practices and lived experiences which blend analytical thinking with empathy.

 

Hira specializes in helping nonprofits and community organizations embed equity into their operations, programs, and communications. Her work is guided by a belief that equitable outcomes come from informed decisions where data, dialogue, and lived experience meet to shape stronger, more inclusive systems.

Hira has contributed to equity and education initiatives across Canada, collaborating with non-profits such as CPAWS Southern Alberta. She continues to advance inclusive outdoor leadership as the Board Chair of the Multicultural Trail Network. These experiences have shaped a consulting practice that is both strategic and grounded, rooted in real-world systems change, community collaboration, and a deep commitment to building a more equitable sector.
